Playing with toys ain’t work

Before I can remember, my brother-in-law asked me if I might be interested in the land services business. I looked at him like he had 2 heads because I couldn’t for the life of me I didn’t understand what he was talking about.

It was the heavy equipment that sold me.

There’s nothing like using heavy equipment, and every time I climb up into the cab of a dozer, I get the same feeling I got all those years ago. Some people might call it work, and you can call it what you want, but I call it a good time.

I heard a long time ago that you’re truly blessed if you can find a line of work you enjoy. Behind that thinking, I’m halfway to being a saint.

It took a long time to save the money to go out on my own, but 21 years ago I did just that, and I’ve never regretted it for a single moment.  Between doing the work and maintaining our equipment, I’m a happy camper.

No matter how big or how small your job is, we’ll show up when we say we will, stick to our estimate, and keep our word about the results. I know that’s not how all contractors work because we get plenty of calls to fix the mess other people made.

Every week is something new in this business, and I guess that’s why I keep at it after all these years. If you told me I could make a living working outdoors, fixing problems, and playing with big toys, I would have thought you were pulling my leg.

Next time you need some Land Services, maybe you should give us a try because if you need results, we got plenty of em’ waiting right here for you.

Sincerely,

Keven Ardoin

Tree roots can extend 2-3 times wider than the tree’s canopy, which is why root raking is essential after land clearing to prevent regrowth and equipment damage.

Frequently Asked Questions About Woodlands Land Services

You ask. We answer.

We’re always happy to answer your questions.

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to contact us.

How long have you been in business?

21 years. Keven Ardoin started Woodlands Land Services in 2005, and we’ve been serving the Tomball area ever since. That’s over two decades of experience with local soil conditions, drainage challenges, and property types.

Is this a family-owned business?

Yes, we’re locally owned and operated by Keven Ardoin. Keven is on every job site, running the equipment himself. You’re not getting a crew supervised by someone who’s never met the owner – you’re working directly with the person who built this business.

What equipment do you own?

We own a dozer, excavator, and skid steer – all maintained and ready to work. We don’t rent equipment, which means no scheduling delays and no surprises about what shows up to your job site.

Do you do the work yourself or hire subcontractors?

Keven operates the equipment on every project. He doesn’t subcontract the actual excavation work. You’re hiring 21 years of hands-on experience, not a company that farms out your job to the lowest bidder.

What areas around Tomball do you serve?

We serve Tomball, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Spring, Cypress, Conroe, and surrounding Montgomery and Harris County communities. We’ve been working throughout this area since 2005, so we know the neighborhoods, soil conditions, and drainage patterns.

How did Woodlands Land Services get started?

Keven started the business in 2005 after years of operating heavy equipment. He saw too many property owners getting overcharged or disappointed by contractors who didn’t show up or finish the job. He built this business on the idea that owner-operated means accountability.

What types of projects do you specialize in?

We handle residential and commercial excavation – land clearing, site prep, grading, drainage, and demolition. From clearing a half-acre lot in Gleannloch Farms to prepping a commercial site in Cypress, we’ve done it all over the past 21 years.

Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?

Yes. Residential work includes lot clearing, yard drainage, and site prep for new homes. Commercial work includes larger site preparation, parking lot grading, and building demolition. Same quality standards, different scale.

Nothing Like Other Contractors

Woodlands Land Services has cleared, graded, & shaped Tomball properties for 21 years. Owner Keven Ardoin operates the equipment on every job.
